Nonprofit Management School

Mockingbird incubator is a nonprofit organization with the mission to empower Nonprofit Organizations to create infrastructure for sustainable impact in their communities.

We started Mockingbird Incubator with the belief that you created a nonprofit because you want to change the world. No one starts a nonprofit because they want to be an administrator.

However, sometimes, it’s hard to know where to start and working with a consultant or a team is a bit out of reach. To help with this, we’ve built the Nonprofit Management School to provide affordable, self-paced options so you can learn as you build. Check out some of our courses below, or join our recurring Mockingbird membership to stay up-to-date on our most recent nonprofit workshops and courses.

Mockingbird On-Demand Training Library

This is a monthly subscription membership. Every month we add new trainings and additional resources to support nonprofit leaders in 4 different areas: funding, planning, technology, impact.

You will have access to all the recordings of our events, slides, and additional resources that complement the lessons. You will also have access to additional events only available for our members.

How to design culturally competent research practices or your organization.

Cultural competence is having an awareness about the unique differences that exist among different populations and provides a framework for viewing our work through a culturally sensitive and unbiased lens. This framework provides for translating awareness into action in order to achieve equity amongst different groups. It is a process that evolves over time as individuals and organizations increase their levels of awareness, knowledge, and skills through continued self-assessment of cultural awareness.

Join us for a 2-part course where you will learn more about how to incorporate cultural competency into your organization.

A self-paced course to guide you through the process of creating your strategic plan and give you the additional tools you will need to put it to work throughout the year.

Strategic Planning is an important step to making your plans clear to everyone involved in your organization. The strategies and goals you set early-on should be aligned with the community you serve and the reality of your organization.
