  • Bardfly is a Los Angeles-based site-specific theatre company. Our inaugural season kicked off in 2023.

We do Shakespeare, and sometimes other stuff. We do it in bars, in parks, in places you can drink a beer and stop and smell the audience. We try not to run longer than 90 minutes, we don't feel like English class, and we won't let you miss the dirty jokes.

Bardfly Theatre Co. envisions a Los Angeles where watching a play or other theatrical performance feels as obvious a choice on a night out as seeking out live music. We believe theatre, including Shakespeare, should feel fun and accessible and double as a social experience.

  • DesComplex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) Awareness Month is just around the corner and we want to get a head start! Our goal is to raise $10,000 in the next 30 days in order to give out as many scholarships as possible during CRPS Awareness Month!

Our scholarships are offered to warriors in need of medical care they cannot afford. Doctors that treat CRPS are hard to come by and treatment is even more difficult to qualify for. Many treatments that have proven to be affective agaisnt this excruciating disease are not covered by insurance. Many warriors also struggle to meet the costs of treatments living on a fixed income due to the disease limiting their ability to work. Our scholarships, provide warriors with the opportunity to receive treatment no matter what their situation is, as we cover the cost and pay the provider directly for their treatment!

Help us help warriors this November for Awareness Month. Together we can, and "Together November" is our chance to make a difference in the lives of as many warriors as we can! " No warrior ever has to fight alone!"cription text goes here

  • Plant the Vine is an urban-history project that traces L.A.'s early history, from pre-contact to the beginning of industrialization, through its viticulture. In 2018, Plant the Vine was invited by the Willowbrook Community Garden in Watts, to help establish an interpretive vineyard. Working with members of the Garden, PTV planted 12 Mission vines, bush-training them in the traditional method that was used in Los Angeles when it was the center of California winemaking. Three years later, in 2022, the gardeners celebrated the vineyard by making their first vintage of Mission wine, reviving a tradition of winemaking that few people today realize once thrived in Los Angeles, and which had not been practiced in Los Angeles for over a century!

Since then, the Garden has hosted workshops open to the community in winemaking and viticulture, as well as tasting events that correspond to the different seasons of the vine -- pruning in the winter, bud break in the spring and harvest in the fall.

Now the gardeners of the Willowbrook Community Garden would like to enlarge the vineyard, to bring more joy to the community, and the blessings of living in wine country!
